Media Literacy and Digital Education Programs

One of SAAGE’s specialties is media and digital literacy education. From the design of online courses to the recruitment of qualified speakers to the running of weeklong specialty media workshops, we have the expertise to bring ideas to fruition. We can offer a wide portfolio of programs to promote good journalistic practices, the importance of freedom of the press, increased access to information, and improved media literacy for people in countries where state-controlled propaganda is strong, independent media is struggling, and people need help navigating the fast-paced development of the digital space.

Digital Spaces and Online Education

From subject-specific speaker recruitment, the moderation and technical support of virtual events, to the full management of virtual spaces and centers, the SAAGE team has the capacity to meet the needs of any size group. Our background includes managing and staffing large offline cultural centers as well as their online counterparts, hybrid programming, organizing roundtables and conferences, coordinating speakers’ series, and coordinating and scheduling weekly programming. 

SAAGE has experience designing curricula, recruiting for and leading online course sections with various audiences, and creating multimedia educational games. We feature instructors of various subjects on our staff, but also have the contacts to recruit qualified teachers for most any initiative if we do not possess in-house expertise.

International Education and Professional and Cultural Exchanges

SAAGE has a wide network of contacts with educational institutions, professional groups, and host-family organizations in the U.S. and around the world to establish collaborations according to the needs of each partner. In the past, we have put together cultural and professional itineraries from a few days to a month for specific programs, while organizing successful educational exchanges of up to a year.
